Welcome to Bath, Somerset and the Village of Camerton...
The county of Somerset in England's West Country has a wonderful mixture of countryside and coast, including a National Park and four Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is a county steeped in history and legend - this is the home of King Arthur and King Alfred and historic Wells - the smallest cathedral city in England.
Glastonbury Tor stands proudly over the Somerset Levels and Moors and, at the other end of the county Exmoor will delight our visitors with its dramatic coastline and sweeping moorland. The long sandy beaches and family coastal resorts such as Minehead, Burnham-on-Sea or Weston-super-Mare have a seaside tradition for day-trippers and holiday makers alike, while beautiful villages and ancient market towns are a joy to explore and the county is dotted with historic stately houses and gardens.
Nearby Bristol is ideal for shopping, as is the factory shopping centre at the Clarks Village at Street, and Georgian Bath has
shops to drool over, and Somerset cider orchards remind the traveller that this is a county proud of its local farm produce.
The little mining village of Camerton nestles in the beautiful Cam Valley on the edge of the Mendips in North East
Somerset. It is the perfect strategic base for to access the Somerset’s numerous attractions – and indeed, it is
an ideal gateway to the rest of Britain’s West Country...
Somerset is readily accessible by road (major routes; M5, M4, A303, A37, A38, A39) and with ten main line
railway stations serving the county this is a part of the West Country which is easy to get to... but hard to leave!
